Hey, I’m Gemma – I set up PZ Boox in 2025!

PZ Boox is a digital, Scottish-based virtual finance office function with one key purpose – to provide financial clarity to business owners.

Working in start-ups for 7 years in strategic HR and Talent Acquisition Manager roles, I saw the challenges business owners faced when they lacked financial clarity. This had major impacts across all departments when they struggled to budget accordingly for new hires and dealt with chaos on a daily basis!

After growing and scaling my own consultancy to six figures, and feeling overwhelmed by the accounting side of business, I decided to make a change. I studied with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), and the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals. Juggling full-time work with studying was not easy, but it is similar to how business owners feel trying to work both in their business and on their business so I completely empathise!

Having worked closely with business owners, I saw how overwhelmed they were with decisions and to-do lists – I relieve that burden by offering a virtual finance office function to save you money and time. From bookkeeping to tax returns, we do it all!
